Facilitation and Training

During the global pandemic, I have been offering virtual training workshops about lifelong learning and digital literacy.

I design and deliver professional and playful training workshops and events based on participatory adult education methodologies. I have built my practice through an M.Ed in Adult Education and 15 years supporting community development work with social services.

Here are some recent highlights of my work:

  • Trained hundreds of public librarians around the world in the development and implementation of adult learning and community development programs through in-person and virtual training workshops with P2PU
  • Designed and hosted an experimental learning lab with Next Library, an international gathering for forward-thinking library professionals
  • Developed a curriculum to train local community organizers in the methods of Jane’s Walk, a global platform for free locally led walking tours
  • Designed and facilitated courses and workshops for more than 400 front line staff, managers, and peer workers in Toronto’s community services sector as Training Coordinator with Toronto Drop-in Network
